The Poppy Rug is woven from 100% pure wool — a natural, breathable fibre prized for its softness underfoot, its warmth, and the way it only grows more beautiful with age. Finished with our signature scalloped edge and a soft gingham check.
A note on shedding: As a pure wool rug, shedding is completely normal — especially in the first few months. It is a natural characteristic of wool, not a fault, and will gradually settle with regular, gentle vacuuming.
Caring for your Rug
- Vacuum gently using suction only — avoid rotating brushes or beater bars.
- Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth — never rub.
- Never pull a loose thread; simply trim it level with the pile.
- Use a rug pad to protect the pile, and rotate occasionally for even wear.
- Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the colours.

Our story
Hi, we’re Aimee & Holly
We’re two Melbourne sisters who couldn’t find anything beautiful enough for our own daughters’ rooms, so we started making it ourselves.
The Poppy Rug is the piece that pulls a room together: pure wool, a soft gingham check and our signature scallop. It’s made to order in small numbers, so every one goes to a home that chose it.

Which size should I choose?
Use the size guide above: every size is drawn to scale, with ideas for where it works best. The round 150cm suits reading corners and nurseries, and the larger sizes suit playrooms and living areas.
Does a wool rug shed?
Yes, and it’s completely normal, especially in the first few months. It’s a natural characteristic of wool, not a fault, and it settles with regular, gentle vacuuming.
How do I care for it?
Vacuum gently using suction only, with no rotating brushes or beater bars. Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth and never rub. If a thread comes loose, trim it level with the pile rather than pulling it.
Do I need a rug pad?
We recommend one. A rug pad protects the pile and helps the rug stay in place. Rotate the rug occasionally for even wear, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight.
